japan earthquake


An earthquake of magnitude 8.9 on the Richter scale has beaten the northern coast of Japan, namely the cities of Sendai and Miyagi, causing a tsunami with waves of 4 meters according to witnesses, but the warning signals that could be provided for up to 10 meters. There were fires and many injured. It is the fifth strongest earthquake recorded in the world. At present Japan is still shaking.

In Tokyo and the northeast there are serious problems with both air and rail transport and road. Public transportation are canceled. As for injuries, the latest figures point to twenty in Osaki and ten in Tokyo and for infrastructure as well as fires in several buildings, including the Cosmo Oil refinery, "was arrested on two operating nuclear plants (the Miyagi and Fukushima).

The epicenter of the quake, occurred at 14:46 Japan time, it has been detected in the Pacific Ocean, about 130 kilometers from the Ojika Peninsula and 10 kilometers deep. On the other hand USGS-US Geological Survey, reports that are occurring several aftershocks measuring 6.3 and 7.1 degrees and was just issued a tsunami alert for risk across the Pacific.

BLIP.TV

Blip.tv is an online service that allows you to upload and share videos on the Internet. The service is very similar to YouTube, because it can accommodate more files in servers, can be seen by other people who can even leave comments.
